We got the chance to show off some of the new improvements completed during our recent Anaerobic Bactron Chamber line redesign at the annual Pittcon Laboratory Science Equipment Conference, and we were lucky enough to get a video interview with Sheldon Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Jeremy McDonald.

We’re pleased to introduce the new SHEL LAB Model 2428H, our latest addition to the large capacity CO2 incubator line!

Compared to water pan humidity generation, the 2428H humidity system provides less evaporation of culture media and eliminates a potential source for contamination.  The 2428H also has a heated glass door that minimizes condensation, another potential source for contamination.

Using a gentle horizontal air flow heating system to obtain superior temperature uniformity and quick temperature recovery after door openings, this airflow system minimizes drying and disturbing sample conditions.

“The three most critical incubator components that ensure high yields in cell culture are humidity, CO2 and temperature uniformity” states Dan Sheldon, President of Sheldon Manufacturing, Inc. “Not only does this unit have exceptional CO2 and temperature uniformity, it also includes a user controllable humidity system that is more accurate and responsive to door openings than a traditional water pan humidity system.”

Thanks to all who stopped in to the SHEL LAB booth at the Association for Microbiology’s 112^th General Meeting held last week in San Francisco, CA. The ASM show is the largest annual meeting and event for the Microbiology industry, and we are happy to report in our booth alone we saw more than twice as many visitors as previous years. Wow!

Our exhibitors had a wonderful time talking with attendees and other exhibitors and showcasing new SHEL LAB products, including the most recent addition to the SHEL LAB Bactron line of anaerobic chambers, the Bactrox Hypoxia Chamber; and our large capacity (30 cubic foot) SHEL LAB 2428H Humidified CO2 incubator.
